(VOVworld) – Vietnam and India have a great potential for tourism development that is based on their long friendship and a growing comprehensive strategic partnership in politics, economy, and culture, Vietnamese Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh told Vietnam News Agency Wednesday, while announcing Jet Airways’ inauguration of direct flights linking Mumbai and New Delhi with Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanh said that in late November the Vietnamese Embassy in India will host conferences so both countries can introduce their tourist products and seek cooperation opportunities. Programs to promote Vietnamese tourism and exchange visits between Vietnamese and Indian travel agents will be held in India’s major cities next year.
