Receiving Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh suggested that the two countries continue to coordinate well in celebrating the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations and effectively implementing the signed cooperation agreements and documents.
The Prime Minister expressed Vietnam’s hope that India, as a major country in the region, will take practical initiatives and actions to promote ASEAN’s solidarity and centrality in regional security structure, promote the practical and effective enforcement of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, contributing to creating an environment of peace, stability, cooperation and development.
The Indian Defense Minister agreed with the Prime Minister's opinions, especially on effectively implementing the Joint Vision Statement on the Vietnam-India defense partnership up to 2030 and the Memorandum of Understanding on logistical reciprocity between the two defense ministries.
