(VOVworld) – Hungarian Minister of External Economy and Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó is on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh. During talks on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Minh said Vietnam will work closely with Hungary to implement projects using Hungarian ODA. The Hungarian Minister praised Vietnam’s role and prestige in the region and the world and said Hungary supports the signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the EU’s recognition of Vietnam’s market economy status. He said that Hungary will facilitate the imports of Vietnamese seafood and agro-forestry, garment, textile, and footwear products into Hungary.
They agreed to maintain the exchange of visits and delegations and strengthen cooperation at regional and international forums, particularly the United Nations. They also discussed a number of regional and global issues of mutual concern.
