(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son recently honored Sofia Kortrikova for her decades of distinguished teaching and mentoring of Vietnamese Russian language students.

Recently, Ms. Sofia Kortrikova donated her personal savings to provide 100 Russian language textbooks to Vietnamese schools. Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son: “I would like to express my special thanks for what you have done for Vietnamese people. Your donation of books shows your great love and respect for Vietnamese people. Those textbooks are useful for students beginning a study of the Russian language”.

Ms. Kortrikova said she is happy knowing the Russian language is as popular as English and French in some Vietnamese schools, and hopes the textbooks will be useful to them.
