(VOVworld) – Vietnam has recorded no case of the Middle East Respiratory Syndromes (MERS). Tran Dac Phu, director of the Ministry of Health’s Preventive Medicine Department told a Monday meeting of the Steering Committee for MERS Prevention and Control that the virus infiltration risk is high due to complicated epidemic threats in China and South Korea.

In Vietnam, 3 cases of suspected infection have been tested negative to the deadly virus.
The Department of Medical Service has established a network of hospitals to receive and treat patients to prevent possible virus spread in medical facilities, minimize fatality, and maintain other operations in case it becomes an outbreak. Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said that the Ministry has stood ready for preventing the epidemic from entering Vietnam.
