(VOVworld) - Winners of the 2014 Vietnam golden brand food awards were announced at a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday.

This is the first national award dedicated to the food sector, co-organized by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the award has helped to raise the awareness of enterprises of their responsibility in national socio-economic development during the country’s international economic integration and in attracting the overseas market. It has also encouraged businesses to upgrade their technology and improve production management to turn out higher quality products.
