At the Steering Committee’s meeting on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that the highest priority now is zoning and promptly stamping out the outbreak in Da Nang. The Ministry of Health has set up a frontline command to shoulder the burden of Da Nang. Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Defense have joined forces with localities.
Deputy Prime Minister Dam said, “I call for localities’ effort to prevent infections, especially in large cities. Basically the cases were linked to 3 hospitals, particularly Da Nang Hospital. We should not be complacent. We will recommend the Prime Minister to issue documents on preparedness for incidents like Da Nang. The Ministry of Health has allocated more resources to Da Nang and frontline hospitals have been on high alert.”
The Deputy Prime Minister asked the media to strongly recommend that people strictly comply with the regulations on epidemic prevention, refrain from to leaving their homes and if going out, they must wear a face mask.
