Vietnamese cinema has developed steadily recently, with local films gaining recognition at international festivals, a rising generation of young creators, and a growing domestic market. Strengthening ties with established film industries such as France is seen as essential to expanding market reach and boosting competitiveness, said Ms. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Film Development Association.

She stressed: "We believe that the Vietnam Film Week in France is the most significant Vietnamese cinema event ever held in Paris. The program, “Vietnamese Cinema: A Journey of Light,” features 17 outstanding and representative Vietnamese films. With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Vietnamese Embassy in France, this event has created a memorable highlight, not only for Vietnamese cinema but also for the friendship between Vietnam and France."
The seminar explored opportunities in co-production models, national support mechanisms, and networking pathways for producers and filmmakers.
