(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, Vietnam and Russia signed a cooperative agreement on tourism for the period of 2016-2018. The signing ceremony took place on the sideline of the third International Tourism Forum in St.Petersburg, Russia.

Under the agreement, the two countries will deploy specific plans to exchange tourists, create favorable conditions for tourism businesses to expand investment, ensure safety for tourists, train human resources for the tourism sector and support each other at international tourism forums and fairs.
The same day, a Vietnamese delegation attended an ASEAN-Russia Conference to discuss preparations for the 20th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia diplomatic ties in 2016. The participants approved a joint statement to enhance friendship and trust between ASEAN and Russian people.
