Vietnam flag hoisted at London 2012 Paralympics

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s flag and three others were hoisted at a ceremony held yesterday at London’s Olympic Park to celebrate the attendance of the four countries’ disabled athletes in the big international sports event. This is the third time Vietnam has showed up at such sports games.

The Vietnamese team of 19 members including 11 athletes, led  by Pham Van Tuan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Physical Training and Sports, will compete in weightlifting, athletics, and swimming. The London 2012 Paralympics, which will open on Wednesday, will bring together 4,200 athletes from 165 countries and territories to compete in 20 sports.
