The second round of evacuation followed the first round from December 4 to 6 conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam along with domestic agencies and Vietnamese representative offices in the region. All costs for bringing citizens home are paid by the Vietnamese Government, who also supported the evacuation of a Nepali citizen from Myanmar.

Given growing complex developments in northern Myanmar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked citizens not go to this region and follow the instructions of the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar and local authorities. If you are in areas where fighting is likely to occur, you need to proactively evacuate people and property to safe areas and urgently contact Vietnamese agencies in case assistance is needed, the Ministry said.
