(VOV) - Vietnam and Antigua-Barbuda, a twin-island nation lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, have signed a joint communiqué on establishing diplomatic ties. The communiqué was signed in New York on Friday between ambassador Le Hoai Trung, head of Vietnam’s Permanent Representative Mission to the United Nations, and ambassador Anthony Liverpool, acting head of the Permanent Representative Mission of Antigua and Barbuda to the United Nations. Both sides agreed to exchange their diplomatic representatives at the ambassadorial level and apply the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations in bilateral ties.
