Vietnam encourages Japanese investment in manufacturing, hi-tech agriculture

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam always considers Japan a top long-term partner and creates the best possible conditions for Japanese firms to invest in Vietnam, especially in manufacturing and high-tech agriculture.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on Monday for Yoichi Kobayashi, Chairman of the Japan-Mekong Business Cooperation Committee of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).

Vice President Thinh expressed her hope that more Japanese enterprises will invest in Vietnam to improve the local economy and meet the consumer demand of Vietnam’s rapidly growing middle class. She urged businesses on both sides to step up cooperation in tourism and education by taking advantage of cultural similarities and beautiful landscapes in both countries. She added that Vietnam hopes for more opportunities to learn from Japan’s experience in clean agricultural production.
