As an increasing number of Vietnamese have been evacuated from combat zones in Ukraine and the EU countries are opening their borders to refugees from Ukraine, Keleti station, east of the capital Budapest, has become a stopover for many Vietnamese citizens who fled Ukraine to Hungary via Moldova and Romania.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Nguyen Thi Bich Thao said that the Embassy has set up a committee for support of Vietnamese refugees from Ukraine, which consists of staff of the Embassy and Vietnamese associations, and two other groups namely Legal Information Group and Logistics Group.
