(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s economy grew 7.5-7.6 % in the first half of 2025, the highest in nearly 20 years, boosting confidence in reaching this year’s growth target of over 8% and aiming for double-digit growth, according to the Vietnam Economic Growth Forum 2025 (VEGF) held in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Many indicators for production, business, and the state budget have improved steadily, while macroeconomic stability, inflation control, and major economic balances have been maintained, reports delivered at the event said.

The forum gathered ideas from experts, business leaders, and localities to help draft solutions to promote double-digit economic growth in the new era.

"We’ve seen major changes in many areas, from new policies and approaches to reforms like streamlining the apparatus and reorganizing administrative units," said Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies.

Some strategic resolutions are shaping the country’s next phase of development, he said, adding that the real challenge is turning these ideas into progress, prosperity, and a brighter future.
