At the seventh session of the Vietnam-Czech Republic Intergovernmental Committee on economic cooperation in Prague on Wednesday, Hoang An, head of the Vietnamese delegation, said the two economies are developing rapidly and fully integrating into the global economy.

That has created favorable opportunities for bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, especially now that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is in effect.

“In the future, if we continue to promote the EVFTA, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the EU, and the relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, will see new developments. I look forward to the presidency being taken by the Czech Republic as a friend of Vietnam,” said Hoang An.

The two sides agreed that the session made important progress toward finding ways to implement cooperation agreements in the new situation and create breakthroughs in bilateral cooperation.
