(VOVworld) – Vietnam and Cuba on Friday issued a joint communiqué as Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left for Haiti, concluding his visit to Cuba from March 26th to 28th. The communiqué stated that the leaders of both countries pledged to closely cooperate on organizing activities to mark the 55th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2015.

Prime Minister Dung and President of the Cuban Council of State, Raul Castro Ruz, reiterated their support for G77 and Bolivia’s role as the group president, as well as the organization of the G77 Summit to be held this June. The two leaders said that international disputes should be settled by peaceful means in accordance with international laws, respecting independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and self determination rights of each nation, without intervening in internal affairs, or threatening or using arms. They agreed on enhancing cooperation, coordination and mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums, of which both countries are members, including the UN, the Non-alignment Movement, and the East Asian-Latin American Cooperation Forum, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the world.
