Van Quyet, who returned to the national team after a four-year absence, made a decisive shot from outside the penalty area, giving Vietnam a lead in the 37th minute.

Coach Park Hang-seo seemed not to be satisfied with his students’ performance in the first half. He decided to send in three young players Thanh Nhan, Duy Cuong, and Dinh Duy in the second half.

Only four minutes into the field, Thanh Nhan took the opportunity to score another goal for Vietnam from a shot inside the penalty area.

Veteran Tan Tai and Van Khang later scored two more goals for Vietnam in the last 20 minutes of the game.

The Vietnam vs Singapore match was considered a test for both teams ahead of their AFF Cup 2022 campaign.

Vietnam have been placed in Group B alongside Malaysia, Laos, Myanmar, and Singapore, and they are scheduled to play Singapore on December 30, 2022.

The Vietnamese team will now have five days off before playing against India in the final match of the friendly tournament.
