(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese high-level delegation, led by Le Hong Anh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party's Secretariat, attended the funerals of Laotian leaders who died in a plane crash last Saturday.

After paying tribute to the leaders, the Vietnamese delegation met with Laotian Party General Secretary and President Chummaly Saynhasone. Le Hong Anh sent the deepest condolences of the leaders of Vietnam’s Party, National Assembly, and government to their Laotian counterparts. He said he hopes Laos will soon recover from this loss to continue their national construction, protection, and development, adding that Vietnam will stand side by side with Laos in educating the two countries’ younger generations about the Vietnam-Laos special friendship.
