Vietnam considers participating in multilateral cooperation mechanisms

At a press conference on Thursday in Hanoi,  Hang addressed questions regarding Vietnam's stance on multilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the BRICS Group of Leading Emerging Economies.

Ms. Hang reaffirmed Vietnam's consistent foreign policy on this matter, emphasizing that Vietnam is making efforts to promote regional and global peace, stability, and development, aligning with Vietnam's needs and interests.

She highlighted that Vietnam adheres to a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, and being a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community.

Regarding participation in multilateral, regional, and international cooperation mechanisms, Ms. Hang said Vietnam carefully evaluates each opportunity based on alignment with its foreign policy, conditions, and capabilities.
