The Anthem of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, brought tourists from the UK, Australia, the US, and other countries to visit Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam province. Over 500 tourists visited famous sites in Hue City such as the Imperial City, Tu Duc Tomb, and Thien Mu Pagoda.
Thus far, 49 cruise ships have registered to carry 100,000 tourists to dock at Chan May port in 2025.
Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, said: “We’re determined to create the best conditions to serve tourists arriving in Hue and the Central region by ship. Cruise tourists are a very important source of foreign visitors to Hue and the Central region.”
With a series of activities held during the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, Hue city aims to attract 4.8 to 5 million visitors, with foreign visitors accounting for 38% to 40%.
