He was speaking at an year-end review meeting of the national coal and mining group in Hanoi on Saturday. The government is reviewing a proposal to restructure the group to make it focus on core businesses while ensuring coal supply for the country in the future. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the sector needs to review technical regulations to ensure sustainable development and compete well with neighboring countries.Vinaconmin aims to consume 43 million tons of coal this year, representing an increase of 3.7 million tons and 15% rise in revenue this year.
