The event brought together 40 Vietnamese and Chinese companies operating in agricultural import, retail, food distribution, and e-commerce. At the event, Vietnamese Trade Counsellor in China Nong Duc Lai said: "This event aims to expand the market in Northern China, a region with great potential and strong consumer demand. Additionally, it seeks to make Vietnamese products and brands better known to China's retail systems, importers, and consumers."

Chinese representative Duong Gongman, Head of the Fresh Product Research Center for the Retail Chain, said the number of participants exceeded expectations.
"Four purchasing managers from Pangdonglai attended, showing that they have a strong interest. In particular, the leadership of Wumart immediately arranged appointments with Vietnamese fruit and seafood suppliers to discuss purchasing opportunities. As for durian, in the past, Chinese consumers were only familiar with Thai durians, but now, Vietnamese durians have captured a significant market share, with robust growth," said Mr Duong Gongman.
China is a major trading partner and the leading export market for Vietnam in the agricultural and seafood products.
