She proposed investment-related initiatives to optimise opportunities brought about by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and ways to boost bilateral collaboration in education-training, tourism, and health care.
Bruce Stanton endorsed Ms. Mai’s proposals, adding that he promises to work to deepen the comprehensive partnership between the two countries across fields, including cooperation through the party channel. He said priority will be given to science, education, training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
While in Canada, Ms. Mai and her entourage held talks with representatives of the Communist Party of Canada, visited McGill University, and had a working session with leaders of several universities in Quebec. They also met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Canada.
