During the meeting, Senate President Hun Sen said he appreciated the Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son for having co-chaired the 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development between Vietnamese and Cambodian border provinces.

He said the conference will contribute to strengthening and enhancing the traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainable partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Deputy Prime Minister Son praised their bilateral relations, which have been strengthened in recent times. Vietnam-Cambodia economic cooperation has become increasingly connected and is a highlight of the bilateral relationship, he said. 

Vietnam will effectively implement the agreements reached between the two countries, especially the key outcomes of the 13th Conference on Cooperation and Development between Vietnamese and Cambodian border provinces, the Deputy Prime Minister added.
