The Prime Minister said that Vietnam and the United States have just upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership, agreeing to make science, technology, and innovation new important pillars in bilateral ties.

At the same time, the RoK has also become Vietnam's strategic partner in all fields, especially in economics, trade and investment. In the context of shifting global FDI, Vietnam wishes to attract high-quality investment in high technology, electronics, and semiconductor chips, especially from leading enterprises such as Amkor, 

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is designing a Development Strategy and Human Resource Development Plan along with appropriate institutions, policies and mechanisms to attract foreign semiconductor manufacturing and design businesses including those of the United States and the RoK.

Vice President and CEO of Amkor, Ji Rong Rip affirmed that the group will continue to invest in Vietnam and establish a semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam. Notably, he affirmed that Amkor wants to increase the use of highly qualified engineers and personnel in Vietnam while mobilizing highly qualified engineers and experts from the Group's facilities of around world.
