Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day opens

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee Ha Minh Hai says the event aims to spread the book reading culture and inspire love for book in the community.

"The reading culture has steadily spread. Reading has become a habit and a beauty in life. The publishing industry has affirmed its role in building a learning society and fostering elegant, civilized Hanoians," said Mr. Hai.

The event includes online book festivals, hybrid book festivals, cashless book fairs, and many communications activities until May 1.
