Goals from Cong Phuong and Tuan Hai secured the victory of the Vietnamese team. This was the third consecutive win for Coach Philippe Troussier while leading the Vietnam National Team.

In June Vietnam defeated the Hong Kong (China) and Syrian teams, both by a score of 2-0.

This victory is a testament to the adaptation of the Vietnamese players to coach Troussier's football philosophy. New players are being given opportunities and veteran players are regaining their form as the team moves toward the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
