(VOVworld) – 30 Vietnamese companies are participating in the International Food Exhibition (SIAL) in Paris, France, from October 16 to October 20.

Their items include rice, rice products, honey, cashew nuts, pepper, coconuts, and vegetables are exhibited on an area of 250 square meters. This is pat of a of Vietnam’s plan to build a strategy on establishing national brands for food industry, particularly in the EU market. Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said: “This year there is a largest number of participating companies compared to the previous years. They are 30 key exporters of goods of Vietnamese advantaged edge. We hope that this will open prospects for increasing exports to France from 4 billion euros currently to 6 billion euros. I feel happy and proud that Vietnamese products are improved to meet the needs of Europeans.”
SIAL is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious exhibitions of food and beverages with 7,000 companies from 104 participating in. The annual event attracts more than 155,000 visitors from 190 countries worldwide.
