Minister Dung said this second VNR covers Vietnam’s implementation of SDGs as well as important changes and advancements compared to the first VNR in 2018. Difficulties, challenges, and orientations to promote the implementation of the SDGs in the coming time are also included in the review.

Mr. Dung answered questions from delegates and affirmed that Vietnam is committed to continuing to promote its role as a responsible member of the international community and collaborate with all partners to achieve the SDGs for all by 2030.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 SDGs was adopted by all UN member states in September 2015. The VNRs are considered a mechanism to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs on a global scale.
