Ms. Komura, Head of the event’s organising board, said the annual charity bazaar was intended to raise funds for welfare activities and aid relief to natural disaster victims, and disadvantaged women and children in member nations. At the bazaar, Vietnam and other countries displayed and sold traditional handicraft products and typical food dishes.

The two Vietnamese Embassy booths sold unique handicraft products including silks, precious stone mosaics, silk embroidered paintings, and typical Vietnamese foods. Hoang Thi Minh Ha, the wife of Vietnam’s Ambassador to Japan, said the proceeds would be donated to poor children in disadvantaged areas.
