Vietnam and the UK cooperate for mutual benefit

(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received the visiting UK Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, in Hanoi on Tuesday. Chairman Hung welcomed the Prince’s visit as it coincided with the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

Chairman Hung welcomed the Prince’s visit as it coincided with the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties. He proposed to the Prince that the UK continues to support Vietnam by maintaining its ODA and strengthening cooperation in the areas of climate change, green technology, and scientific research. Chairman Hung expressed his hope that both countries will increase delegation exchanges and share experience in legislation and supervision.

Prince Andrew said that the UK will continue its effort to boost the strategic partnership between the two countries. He said that he hoped both nations’ legislatures will support one another in international and regional forums and in issues of mutual concern in the interests of peace, stability and development.
