(VOVworld)-Egypt plays an important role in Vietnam ’s foreign policy. Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Dao Thanh Chung has told the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties that both countries have enjoyed time-honored friendship and cooperation through different stages of time. Two-way trade turnover last year reached nearly 305 million dollars, turning Egypt into Vietnam ’s 2nd largest market in the Middle East and North Africa . The Ambassador hoped that both countries will promote comprehensive cooperation in all areas.
