They were determined to raise bilateral trade, investment, and labor cooperation to a higher level to match their fine political relations and the desire and interests of their peoples. They pledged to provide the best conditions for their enterprises to broaden their business in agro-forestry, petroleum, labor, infrastructure, renewable energy, metallurgy, and consumption goods. The two leaders aimed to bring trade revenue to 1 billion USD in the near future.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked Algeria to create favorable conditions for the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to expand its oil and gas exploration and exploitation projects in Algeria and invited the Algerian national petroleum company to invest in Vietnam.

Both leaders agreed to accelerate negotiations and soon sign cooperative documents in banking, finance, culture, sports, and tourism.

The two Prime Ministers discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern and affirmed close cooperation to ensure peace and stability in the world. Regarding common principles of international cooperation in settling regional conflicts in general and the East Sea issue in particular, the two leaders stressed the need to settle all disputes through peaceful means in line with the international law, the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and the Declaration of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and soon adopt the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea in order to ensure stability, security and freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea. Following the talks, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of a number of bilateral cooperative documents including Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in tourism and healthcare and a Cultural Cooperation Program in the 2016-2018 period.
