Under the theme “Digital revolution- opportunities and challenges”, the summit discussed the promotion of creativity and innovation, building a start-ups country, developing IT infrastructure and ensuring cyber security, human resource development, and internet and smart city trends. In his address, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted the importance of the summit saying it contributed to the development of strategies on promoting information technology. Phuc said the digital revolution and the 4^th industrial revolution will bring about both opportunities and challenges to Vietnam:“In this revolution, our opportunities come from our efforts to address challenges. We need to maximize Vietnam’s advantages in the digital era. Vietnam is aggressively restructuring its economy, shifting the growth model, changing from being dependent on natural resources, cheap labor and backward technology to promoting high-end human resources and renovation. I believe that with our competitive advantages, IT development, and golden population resources, we can be successful if we seize opportunities and have the right strategies”.
