The two-minute long video opened with breathtaking goals by France’s star male players Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, and Olivier Giroud. “But that’s not them you’ve just seen,” a text on the video reads.
The second half revealed that deepfake technology had been used to change the players’ appearances and the goals were actually scored by French female players Sakina Karchaoui, Eugenie Le Sommer, and Wendie Renard.
The video ended with a message saying women’s football is just as breathtaking as men’s football.
