Vice President praises Ireland’s wind power project

(VOVWORLD) - Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted a reception for Andy Kinsella, Chief Executive Officer of Ireland’s Mainstream Renewable Power, in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Ms. Thinh said electricity is vital to Vietnam’s development and praised Mainstream Renewable Power’s propped wind energy project.

Thinh said she hopes the project will be underway soon.

MRP and Vietnam’s Phu Cuong Group recently signed a cooperation deal worth 2 billion USD to build and operate a wind farm with a capacity of 800 MW in Soc Trang.

Kinsella said he hopes the project will be put into operation soon and praised Vietnam’s potential in developing wind energy.
