She asked the hospital to turn itself into a multi-purpose, specialized military medical center on a par with regional and global institutions, to further invest in its facilities, to modernize its equipment, and to apply advanced technology in its examination and treatment of patients.

Earlier Madam Xuan visited and and congratulated the leaders and doctors of Thong Nhat Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is a first-class general hospital under the Ministry of Health with the main task of medical examination and treatment for mid and senior-level officials of the Party, State, armed forces, and people of southern provinces.
