(VOVworld) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan extended his New Year wishes to Catholic dignitaries and followers across the country during his pre-Tet visit to the Hanoi Archdiocese on Friday. In a meeting with Archbishop Nguyen Van Nhon and other Catholic dignitaries, Nhan acknowledged the Catholics’ contributions to social programs and national development. Archbishop Nhon said that he hoped that Party and State leaders and local authorities would facilitate the Catholics to practice their religion and promised to further support to national development.
