Speaking at the event, Mrs. Ha expressed her delight at the local development, with the rate of poor Khmer households brought down to about 4.5%.
She wished all Buddhist monks, nuns and Khmer people in the province a happy New Year and believed that they will uphold the tradition of patriotism and join hands with local authorities and residents to accomplish socio-economic tasks this year.
On the occasion, she presented 100 gifts to local Buddhist dignitaries and reputable persons in the Khmer community. Khmer people now account for over 31% of the province’s population.
