The projects totaling 2 million USD will help improve the living conditions, capacity, and status of persons with disabilities in provinces severely affected by Agent Orange/Dioxin. These are assistance projects from American people within the framework of the bilateral agreement between the two governments signed in 2005.
USAID said the US government has implemented various projects in multiple Vietnamese localities to address war remnants and improve the living conditions for Agent Orange/Dioxin affected communities. Quang Tri is one of the provinces where the US has implemented many cooperative programs, including landmine clearance, support for people with disabilities, and humanitarian aid.
