The US will not negotiate with North Korea without a Pyongyang commitment to denuclearization, US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert told a press conference on Thursday. She said the US has clarified its demands and North Korea knows what it has to do. Nauert mentioned that the US has had some success in preventing foreign money from reaching Pyongyang’s nuclear program.
A spokesperson for the North Korean Foreign Ministry called the US’s latest sanctions against Pyongyang “illegal”, North Korea’s Central News Agency reported.
