(VOVworld) – US Secretary of State John Kerry said he hopes the US Congress will approve the nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1, warning that rejecting the deal would give Iran a fast track to developing nuclear weapons.

In testimony before the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Kerry said it is a good deal for the world, for the US, and for US allies and friends. He reiterated that if the deal is not approved, there will be no inspections, sanctions, or restraints on Iran’s nuclear program.
