The Clinton campaign said it had found no actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology; so it had not planned to exercise this option itself. But now that a recount has been initiated in Wisconsin, it intends to participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides.
Wisconsin had been considered a reliable state for Democrats, but Trump won a narrow victory there. Wisconsin's election board had received two recount requests by Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent presidential candidate Rocky Roque De La Fuente, who failed to be the president nominee of the Democratic Party. Ms. Stein also pledged to pursue additional vote recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
