Trump congratulated Israel and Iran for having the “stamina, courage, and intelligence” to end the 12-day conflict, which he said, “could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!”
On Monday, Iran fired 14 missiles at the US’s Al Udeid air base in Qatar in retaliation for the US bombing of three of its nuclear facilities on June 21. Iran gave advance notice of the attack to minimize casualties.
