At the signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mai Duy Ton, Director of the Stroke Center said that the US-funded project is of great significance for the center to improve its service.
“This is the first project to support stroke prevention and treatment in Vietnam. We hope that within two years, it will help change the entire population’s awareness of stroke,” he said.
The project will also help train high-quality human resources for our center as well as train and develop postgraduate programs for doctors at the University of Medicine and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
It will also provide essential equipment for the Stroke Center and the Functional Rehabilitation Center at Bach Mai Hospital, according to doctor Ton.
