Biden said the US-Japan alliance has been the cornerstone of peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. He said the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, or IPEF, will launch later on Monday to increase cooperation with other nations in the region and deliver concrete benefits for local people.

Apart from bilateral cooperation in economy and security, the two leaders also discussed methods for a free and open Indo-Pacific region, climate change, nuclear weapon disarmament, Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, and North Korea’s ballistic missiles.
