Taking place from September 9, the program comprised 13 activities across four main areas: humanitarian assistance and disaster relief; healthcare; construction and repair; and civil-military engagement.

Launched by the US Government after the 2004 tsunami, the Pacific Friendship has been implemented 12 times since 2007 in Vietnam’s Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Nghe An and Quang Ngai.
