During a visit to France, Kerry has met with French President Emmanuel Macron and Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire, and acknowledged that the world is not doing enough to honor the 2015 Paris Agreement commitments.
The two countries agreed to open a joint working group on a carbon border tax. The group will come up with ways to classify green products and determine taxes based on environmental protection categories.
