US Embassy in Cuba to sustain minimum staff

(VOVWORLD) - The US said on Friday it was making permanent its decision last year to slash staffing at its Havana embassy by around two-thirds because the alleged health incidents among its diplomats remained unsolved.

At a congressional hearing in January, US State Department officials said they are not sure about cause of the attacks, and an investigation into the attacks is ongoing, adding that no family members are permitted to reside in Havana. The department also announced a 3-month extension of Cuba travel advisory.
